This work is from my ‘recovering forests as metaphors’ series. It's inspired by the resilience of trees. This particular collage work is made from unique mono gelprint-made collage papers and is inspired by the remarkable sight of a single tree growing in a crevasse or crack on a cliff face. Such trees grow from seeds that have landed in the cracks, catch in small bits of dirt, and sprout if there is enough water and sun.
