The Australian outback has many ‘tracks’ and ‘roads’ that don’t have names and don’t resemble the conditions that those unfamiliar with the area might expect. Yet these tracks – which sometimes appear to have a magical mystery about them – are well known and used regularly by locals to navigate the land.
