The courses is primarily one on one critiques. With a few demonstrations/initial talks to commence the lessons, especially earlier in the course.
The aim of the course is to enhance our visual understanding of the world and how to replicate that in a realistic way through the medium of cool paint using traditional materials and techniques. By the end we should have the skills necessary to feel confident heading out into the world on our own painting adventures!
Our workshops support the development of your creative practice through opportunities to explore, experiment and refine your art making skills under the guidance of professional artists. Each workshop focuses on building a strong skill set for the technical execution of your art practice.
The program covers a wide range of mediums and skills such as oil painting, acrylic glazing, watercolour, and drawing. You can mix and match these classes based on your own interests!
These workshops are intended for artists aged 16-25 and have been developed with Art Creative Practice or Art Making and Exhibiting VCE subjects or Tertiary Fine Arts courses in mind. Each workshop includes lunch. Materials will be provided for class, but you are welcome to bring your own if you have them.
Workshops will run from 10:30am - 3:30pm priced at $150 per workshop including a catered lunch break and materials.
