This work is inspired by one of the 2700 glaciers found in New Zealand, most of which are in the Southern Alps. These beautiful sculptures of nature are spread across more than 1 hectare in size. The magnificence of these glaciers cannot be understated nor can the major changes they are undergoing due to climate change. Since the 1970s, around 300 of NZ's glaciers have been lost. The aim of this work is to draw attention to the unconscionable threat these iconic landmarks face and the need to do whatever we can, no matter how small, to protect them.
