This work is inspired by New Zealand’s vast array of glaciers (around 2500) located in the Southern Alps in the South Island. It is from my Glacial Suite, recently completed for my forthcoming solo art exhibition, to be held in the Cato Gallery, VAS (4-16 February 2025). A Cirque glacier is defined as ‘a small glacier that sits in a small bowl-shaped depression eroded into the head or side of a mountain’ (Source: USGS https://pubs.usgs.gov/of/2004/1216/text.html). The original image is 58cm x 40cm (Framed 40.64 x 50.8/16” x20”). The work is signed on the back so collectors have the option of deciding whether to view/hang the work in a portrait or landscape layout as per their preference. A Certificate of Authentification can be provided on request.
