This work (from my Equinox series) is inspired by the convergence of the extreme and surreal world events (e.g., the COVID pandemic, the impacts of climate change, war, and the global economic downturn) which are prompting many of us to think deeply about the future of our planet and all that depends on it – including ourselves. The abstracted figure of a lone woman looking out into the unknown (and possibly an unrecognisable zone) could be anyone, contemplating anything.
