Kangaroo Paw originates from western Australia. The most common meaning for the bloom is uniqueness and individuality.
Succulent symbolises Loyalty and endurance.
Grevillea symbolise courage, primarily native to Australia, are evergreen shrubs or trees of great beauty with needle-like to fern-like foliage and incredibly flamboyant flowers.
I walk by this particular grevillea tree every single day, in every season, the leaves are fascinating itself that I have painted them in my ongoing series.
Clivia is also a very common plant that you can find in Australian garden, also known as Natal lily or bush lily. The spiritual meaning of the blossoms is very positive. Its symbolic meaning coming from the appearance- tall, straight leaves, symbolised fortitude, unyielding, modest and gentle.
In many culture, clivia flowers are also seen as a luck symbol for happiness, wealth and abundance, which is also one of the reasons why clivia plant is widely loved.
In this season, the clivia plant on my front yard has all the beautiful red and dark green clusters formed.
Flower always bloom in their own time without competing with other flowers. May we all bloom in our time in the best season. Hope you enjoy this artwork of mine.
Artwork inspired by the blooms of kangaroo paw plant at my front yard, in Bayswater, Melbourne, Victoria, Autumn, 2021.
