In this series, I first started painting most of myself or my cousins, basically the people around me. Same as my 'Bloom like flowers' series, flowers are the object representing life itself.

In this series, I paint flowers in full bloom, an interpretation of the vitality, and also a salute to the golden age. The goal of my art journey has always been true to myself and be true to the present moments. To experience the changing of the seasons, it has become a routine of mine to paint the first bloom in my surrounding during its flowering season. I decided to add in the flowers from my front yard; peony stands for honour, and bush lily stands for great luck. In order to capture the details in this artwork, it actually took me several months to re-reconnect to myself mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. I absolutely enjoy painting those photo-real flowers, sometimes I even have dreams full of beautiful, delicate flower petals after a long day in the studio, which is totally worth it. I always want to deliver an important message in my floral series. Now is the very best time to be alive. Be at the moment, be yourself. Whenever you are experiencing difficulty, life itself can be bloomed like flowers with no fear.
