Painted after a journey back into my past.
When I first arrived in Australia I went to live in Nowra NSW where I worked in paper manufacturing for a company called Wiggins Teap. I made many friends while living in the area and they invited me on many trips to places in and around Nowra. One of these places was Jervis Bay and Sanctuary Point where we would dragnet for prawns by torch light in the middle of the night. In 2015 and shortly after I had retired, my wife and I decided to go back to the area where my Australian journey had begun 40 years earlier; we stayed at Sanctuary Point where this painting is taken from and explored all the memories.
