My wife Jan and I enjoy going for day trips in and around Melbourne. On one of these rainy day journeys we were in Williamstown looking across to Melbourne city. Due to an oncoming storm all work on the boats in dry dock stopped. I decided to begin work on this painting in late 2019 and put the brushes down in early May 2020. At the time of starting the painting little did I realise that it depicts the gathering storm that was the Coronavirus that hit the world in 2020. The storm stopped the boat repairs: the virus stopped the world. Bob Young
