After my first year at VAS in 2016 of working in Oil painting with Stephen Doyle my urge to get back to Watercolour painting was very strong; thanks to Maxine Wade and an opening at her Sunday afternoon Watercolour class I was able do just that. This picture caught my eye and it had everything that to me made a good example of what I was trying to do. The idea of not upsetting my Oil painting Tutor by saying that I was working on an Oil painting on Sundays also put a little bit of fun into it. I continued with both mediums in 2018 and must thank both Maxine and Stephen for the friendship and the many helpful lessons learnt. I still work in both mediums when the urge pulls me from one to the other.
