I was struck by the brightness, the vastness of the sea and how it contrasted with the weathered, shaded cliff below. I have worked charcoal, pencil, and pastel to describe the texture of the landscape and left paper unworked for the flat glare of the water. To convey the drama of the landscape, I have used a full sheet of paper (Arches smooth).
