Painted over several sittings, in oils on linen. Max is a master of Cuban drums, played football at the highest level, has had a long career in the science and management of soil and water—his hands fall to drumming position, newspaper folded to show the football pages, a glass of clear water at his fingertips. His essays on politics, the energy industry and environment have the same considered, direct expression seen here.
