I love the aerial perspective that flying over our wide brown land affords. I grew up in the Western District and am familar with fencelines and windbreaks and dams and sheep and cattle tracks and the patterns in soil left by agriculture. This is a study of bleached summer paddocks, with precious dams as jewels in the landscape. My work is informed by observation and imagination, inspired by curiosity - and a practiced artist eye.
