This painting is inspired by the pleasant Yarra River and the vibrant cityscape. I have always found solace in sketching along the river's edge. The contrasting effect of nature and urban life fascinates me, and I often take leisurely walks to absorb the sights and sounds. One fateful Sunday afternoon, I stumbled upon a breathtaking view beneath the unnamed bridge when I walked toward Queens Street bridge. The golden hues of sunset danced across the water, while boats gently bobbed in the distance. Captivated by this moment, I sketched the scene and later crafted a series of watercolour studies. This large-scale piece is the best of that inspiration. I invite you to step into the tranquil world I've created, where the beauty of the Yarra River and the dynamism of the city blend in perfect harmony. The artwork is well framed in hand-made Australia Blackwood with an acrylic glass.
