A Bird's Eye View Diptych
51cm (H) x 81cm (W) x 2cm (D)

When I walked every day, I was attracted by the carefree magpies. They walked around me with their heads high, so I decided to use them as the subject of my painting. Naxi hieroglyph is also my favourite, it is called the living hieroglyph in the world. I have been to Lijiang in Yunnan and I was attracted by the unique Dongba culture. So I combined these two themes with the composition of Chinese ink painting and Western painting techniques to create a painting called 'A Bird's Eye View Diptych'. This painting also implies that if a person unconsciously accept standardized information, and will gradually narrow their vision and no longer have the ability to judge right from wrong.

Simple graphic shapes really appeal to me as they imply what they are rather than be visually descriptive.
Low Tide Barwon River
74cm (H) x 59cm (W) x 1.5cm (D)
Artist: Jo Reitze
Price: $ 900.00
Throughout my life, I have painted impressions of the Barwon River from a seat at the water's edge at the back of River View Camping Ground at Ocean Grove. Low is freely painted in gouache capturing a mood of the river in summer. I particularly like how with lyrical mark-making the sandy foreground with shallow pools have been captured. I have also painted a pair of the same size and frame at high tide. I often paint in series, groups or pairs. This was one of the three locations at Ocean Grove shown in my exhibition, 'Sea Air' at Geelong Gallery as part of their Shell Regional Artist Program in 2009.
Morning Mist, Fairfield Park, Melbourne 2020
66cm (H) x 54cm (W) x 2.5cm (D)
Medium: Water Colour
Artist: Robert Young
Price: $ 500.00
At one stage during the lockdown period in Melbourne the only outdoor activity was essential shopping and exercise. This painting is from one of our morning walks at Fairfield Park; the Fairfield Park area is great for walking with very little road traffic and plenty of scenic views. Due to its close proximity to where we live it is great for walking our two dogs. I tried to capture the solitude and eeriness of the mist as it lay across the grass on this May morning in 2020. Watching the mist fade as the winter sun warmed the earth also gave us hope that the virus would do the same.
Native flora vingette II
47.2cm (H) x 35cm (W) x 2cm (D)
Medium: Mixed media (Golden Open acrylic, Liquitex acrylic ink, Art Graf water soluble graphite, Daniel Smith watercolour)
Artist: Megan-Jane Johnstone
Price: $ 250.00
This work reflects my ongoing wonderment of Australia's native flora. One of a series of 10 botanical vignettes, this work seeks to capture the unique patterns, colours and enduring vibrancy of various plant remnants (native grasses, dried leaves and flower-heads, seed pods) collected from local parks and bush lands. The use of mixed media (acrylic, ink, water soluble graphite, watercolour) gives the work its texture and vibrancy.

Medium: Oil on board
Artist: Bronwen Hunt
Price: $ 2,650.00
This work was developed during a difficult season personally and is intended to be testament to the resilience of the human spirit when it’s surrounded by warmth and perspective. You can come out of sadness marked, stronger and beautiful. Worked with cold wax medium to allow for texture and leaving a matt finish.

I was given permission to paint this scene when I saw it as a photograph and hanging on a wall. I just loved the connection between the father and child as the child discovers what water can do when it splashes. Hence the name. I thought it was a beautiful family record.

Early one warm summer morning, plein air painting on the beach and a lone surfer turned up with his surfboard tucked under his arm. I was hoping for a good painting and he, for the perfect wave. This painting captures the beauty of Anglesea and the feeling of a warm early morning with the promise of a great day ahead.

Medium: Oil on Oil primed Linen
Artist: Steven Haas
Price: $ 1,200.00
The Western Bluebird was painted from a sketch I did while traveling through Los Angeles. It's a spirited little bird that has a very strong opinion about people encroaching on its turf. It is constantly under attack from other bird species and relies on man made nesting boxes for its survival.
