When I walked every day, I was attracted by the carefree magpies. They walked around me with their heads high, so I decided to use them as the subject of my painting.
Naxi hieroglyph is also my favourite, it is called the living hieroglyph in the world. I have been to Lijiang in Yunnan and I was attracted by the unique Dongba culture. So I combined these two themes with the composition of Chinese ink painting and Western painting techniques to create a painting called 'A Bird's Eye View Diptych'.
This painting also implies that if a person unconsciously accept standardized information, and will gradually narrow their vision and no longer have the ability to judge right from wrong.
