Facing an Uncertain Future
Medium: Oil on canvas
Artist: Leslie Pascoe
Price: $ 850.00
This was painted by the many Inspiring gums trees in the Woodlands Historical Park in Greenvale. There are many different majestic forms, large, small, living and decaying. This one truly caught my eye as it appears to have a face of uncertainty of its own future where the wood has rotted away.

Medium: Oil on Canvas
Artist: Lihong Zhang
Price: $ 6,000.00
Lotus flower as a reflection of artist’s culture and a subject for the further exploration of impression. These works have a sensitivity to color and light, bringing a fresh interpretation to the impressionist oeuvre. The Lotus flower series have strong personal character with the color and the stroke, which could be recognized as Lihong’s style. The artist works with the season, infatuated with the lifecycle of the lotus in particular. From the seedpod to the blooming baby lotus to the full-grown adult flower, Lihong’s oil paintings are imbued with beauty that seems to come from a different period modern impression that are recognizable without being realistic. The artworks are built up layer by layer, the final result is saturated field of color, filled with real life scenes that have been sieved through a kaleidoscopic artistic imagination.
Oil painting in watercolour
48cm (H) x 65.5cm (W) x 3cm (D)
Artist: Robert Young
Price: $ 400.00
Oil Painting in watercolour From photo 2017 After my first year at VAS in 2016 of working in Oil painting with Stephen Doyle my urge to get back to Watercolour painting was very strong; thanks to Maxine Wade and an opening at her Sunday afternoon Watercolour class I was able do just that. This picture caught my eye and it had everything that to me made a good example of what I was trying to do. The idea of not upsetting my Oil painting Tutor by saying that I was working on an Oil painting on Sundays also put a little bit of fun into it. I continued with both mediums in 2018 and must thank both Maxine and Stephen for the friendship and the many helpful lessons learnt. I still work in both mediums when the urge pulls me from one to the other.

I painted this little gem on a summer morning in December. I love finding these special, little hidden bits of bush around the Melbourne 'burbs. A friend and I were out early looking for a spot to capture the lovely morning light when we came across this delightful location, not far from my home and never been seen by me before. Irresistible.

Smoke and Dust—December 2019
75cm (H) x 60cm (W) x 3.5cm (D)
Medium: Oil on canvas board
Artist: Margaret Picken
Price: $ 750.00
'Smoke and Dust—December 2019' was painted from my photo taken during a drive north from Melbourne in December 2019. The air was full of smoke from the raging bushfires which devastated much of southern NSW and coastal Victoria. It's very atmospheric and I wanted to be a witness to that. Painted on canvas board I tried to convey the smokey atmosphere over the paddocks along the Hume highway.
The Orange horse
90cm (H) x 90cm (W) x 4cm (D)
Artist: Bronwen Hunt
Price: $ 1,200.00
This work is based on the front part of our property and horses. I wanted to explore flattening out the picture plane, interesting edges and colours of place but not necessarily in place. With all of the experimentation I didn’t want to loose a sense of tranquility that accompanies the late afternoon grazing time. The use of a cold wax medium adds texture and transparency and leaves a candle like finish.
