Last night the Victorian Artists Society's VAS ART SCHOOL & TUTOR EXHIBITION was officially opened by VAS Artist Paul McDonald Smith OAM VAS FVAS FRSA.

Paul McDonald Smith joined 'the Vics' in 1975 and he has had a long and distinguished involvement with VAS including 12 years on Council. Paul was Past President of the Victorian Artists Society from 1998 until 2003. He has been an art teacher for 33 years in the VAS Studio.
During the evening Paul presented the VAS ART SCHOOL & TUTOR EXHIBITION Encouragement Awards and Special Mention Awards to a number of VAS Art School students.
Encouragement Awards were presented to the following students: Andy Comisso, Greg Shelley, Anna Connolly, Jenny Pequignot, Wilma Green and Lyn Morgan.
A Special Mention Award was presented to Jill Keen.
The VAS ART SCHOOL & TUTOR EXHIBITION showcases the range of artistic practices and mediums that are taught at the VAS Art School. Encompassing oil, watercolour, drawing and acrylic both students and teachers works on show reveal the diversity and creativity within the VAS Art School.
