This was a fun little tree study. Was worked on from a reference photo as a guide. I was attracted to the texture of the bark and the root structure. This piece is drawn in graphite on Saunders Hot press watercolour paper 300gsm and is mounted to a wooden panel that has been sealed with acrylic paint. It has been fixed with a fixative and then cold wax varnished over the top.
