Farm Machinery WA 03 is the third in a series of digital drawings created on my iPad after a trip to Margaret River in WA. The background layer has repetitive images of canola flowers, symbolizing crops that are often farmed. The black stylized lines were used to define in part the edges of the mechanical parts. Areas of stippling provided a hint of the original mechanical form contrasting with the flat areas of tone. Finally, an overlay of hand drawn stitching was used to give the illusion of a textured needle worked image such as a tapestry. This archival print is a one-off artists proof (AP). It was printed on 310 gsm Galerie Cotton Rag.
