This abstract is another in my recent series inspired by my travels in Northern New South Wales. As with others in the series I abandon the formal language of landscape, still life and portraiture and work almost unconsciously, allowing the light and colour of the areas I've visited to come to the surface. In particular, this painting is derived from my time at Wooyung Estuary on the Tweed Coast, where the ocean meets the estuary.
