I was visiting with friends who live at Feock, on Restronguet Creek in Cornwall. In summertime, they row over to the Pandora Inn for lunch.
In the C16th, this 'Passage House' provided the nearest cut from Falmouth to Truro. The Inn was renamed after the naval ship 'Pandora', sent to nature the mutineers on Captain Blight's 'Bounty', but it foundered on the Great Barrier Reef. Captain Edwards survived, was court-martialled and on his return to Cornwall, bought the inn (so they say)!
On this wintry morn, I threw open the curtains to enjoy this fabulous stormy sky.
