The 4-day trip from Toronto to Vancouver on "The Canadian" is one of the great rail journeys of the world; which I took in mid-winter (January). At dusk on the third day, we were crossing the Rockies when a freight train barrelled towards us through the gloaming, and I snapped this photo, with the snow flurries hitting the window of our elevated Park Car.
