Created whilst musing on the sacrifices and iconography around saints and their martyrdom. Saint Luci was the first saint I researched when I was looking into martyrdom in catholicism. Her story of pain and faith struck a cord with me and I thought of her plucked out eyes bringing her closer to God as heart breaking. Exhibited within the VAS "Unspoken' Exhibition.
