Created whilst musing on the sacrifices and iconography around saints and their martyrdom. I find the story telling within the Catholic faith intense, tragic and vivid. Our Mary of Sorrows represents Mother Mary; the seven swords representing her suffering as the mother of Jesus Christ. Exhibited within the VAS "Unspoken' Exhibition.
