'Parliament II' is part of 'The Artist's Collections' series where I imagine I am a collector of real (and sometimes imagined) objects. In this work, I am a collector of ceramic, plastic and fabric objects all pretending to be owls. I am interested in how painting can invite you to consider materiality and illusion: here, these objects, pretending to be owls, are rendered by me in blobs and strokes of paint on a 2D surface giving the illusion of something else.
