In 2024, I left my full-time work and embarked on a three-month solo road trip from Melbourne through South Australia, the Red Centre, and up to Kakadu National Park. With no fixed itinerary and only a rooftop tent on my X-Trail, I led a nomadic lifestyle - painting when inspired, hiking through national parks, and often unsure where I’d sleep each night. This painting captures one of those breathtaking sunsets... as the ending of warmth and the glory of the fireball imminent, trepidation kicks in. The journey taught me something vital: things will somehow work out. I learned to let go of things I can't control and appreciate beauty in the moment.
