This mixed-media painting is inspired by the changing light and reflections of Port Phillip Bay where I walk each day. No two days are the same; the shifting light, colours, and reflections continually transform the landscape.
The work reflects my thoughts on the impermanence of life, and I have tried to express this sense of constant change within the painting.
I have incorporated matte silver foil–covered paper in sections of the work, which catches and reflects light as the viewer moves past it. This shifting surface is intended to echo the changing light on the water and create a subtle sense of movement and transformation
