I painted this watercolour in the spring of 1979 as my entry for the Alice Prize, I'm including this here as it is a subject matter that I keep returning to and more recently painted some important works as I feel they express changes which watercolour is so good at capturing.
This is a south facing very steep hillside and here underthe narrow leafed peppermint and the white trunks of the Manner Gums a very wide range of flora grows and flowers depending on the season.
