Briar Rose I depicts an aspect of my back garden where this wild rose blooms in gouache. Although this is probably the root stock of a long-forgotten rose, I find it very pretty. I love doing works in pairs, so I have also entered its pair in VAS 2025 9x5 Exhibition.
