Anna Madyarova is a Melbourne-based artist, fashion practitioner and founder of eto YA* studio (www.etoya.studio). Her practice is a means of self-expression, meditation, and improving one's wellbeing. It is a research into 'can searching for the meaning of life be one's actual meaning of life?' Anna's work promotes the importance of being authentic, real and having meaningful (vs meaningless) conversations. Her professional background in Linguistics and teaching languages adds to this framework. Throughout her life, Anna has been involved in a variety of creative activities: dance, drama performance, modelling, fashion, art and crafts. To her, they all come from one creative landscape and allow for a rich multidisciplinary approach.
Anna is an experienced educator and presenter who strives to connect with her students in a supportive and meaningful way.
In her artistic work, she is particularly interested in how art fits into spaces and interiors, turning boring and normal into surreal and comical, and portraying the simple and graceful beauty of plants and animals.
