Painting Still Life can simply be inspired by the challenge of recreating a 3 dimensional object on a flat canvas but my inspiration is being able to capture the beauty and charm of an object. The shine and reflection on china, glass or silver, complementary colours, engaging composition, lost and found edges, etc. To finally, hopefully create an artwork that portrays the artists passion, joy and love of the subject.
