I am a Melbourne-based oil painter exploring the quiet poetry of everyday places and objects. My work often centres on overlooked moments in the urban environment—parked cars, suburban streets, and sunlit architectural edges—rendered with a cinematic sense of light and atmosphere. I have drawn inspiration from many artists including the colour photography of William Eggleston and Stephen Shore, as well as the contemplative mood of Edward Hopper. My aim is to transform ordinary scenes into quietly evocative images through careful composition, colour and attention to stillness.
Completed Diploma Fine Art Photography 1990 with Australian College of Photography, Art and Communication in Melbourne.
We would like to pay our respects to the traditional owners of the land on which our building stands, their leaders, past, present and emerging.
