With this piece, I drew inspiration from the sounds that characterise the painted objects: the clink of glass, the rustle of cheesecloth, the gentle dry note of an eggshell being crushed.
Working from observation, I used glazes to build luminosity and explore colour harmonies, honouring the transparency of oil paint while pushing the limits of an all-white still life.
As always, searching for this beautiful symphony in the mundane was a joy and a privilege.
