This stunning painting captures elements of the scenery around Arkaroola with hilltop trees and sunlit rock faces. Arkaroola is a wildlife sanctuary in the north of the Flinders Ranges, South Australia. This is one of a series painted as part of a week-long art workshop. This painting was started in the studio on site in Arkaroola and finished back at home. The painting was done on quality cartridge paper, which has then been mounted onto a canvas. I've then wrapped the edges of the canvas so the painting continues around the side. It has been finished with extra layers of medium and varnish for protection.
