The VAS Autumn Select Exhibition is one of three Select Exhibitions held each year by VAS. Votes cast by exhibiting artists are used to decide the list of candidates for the Artist of the Year Award Exhibition held in December.
The winners of the 2026 VAS Autumn Select Exhibition were announced on Saturday evening at the Official Opening and Awards Presentation for the Exhibition by the Judge Paul McDonald Smith OAM VAS FVAS FRSA.
Jennifer Fyfe VAS was selected as the winner of the 2026 VAS Autumn Select Exhibition with her painting titled The Luthier catalogue #75.
The Judge for the 2026 VAS Autumn Select Exhibition was Paul McDonald Smith OAM VAS FVAS FRSA.
Paul was 2001 Artist of the Year at the Victorian Artists Society and is a Life Member and Past President of VAS and the Twenty Melbourne Painters Society. Paul is widely known for his colourful oil paintings of flowers, still life, landscape and portraits in the tonal impressionist manner. A very experienced teacher, he has conducted painting classes and workshops since 1977.
Congratulations are extended to the winning artists and all Victorian Artists Society member artists who participated in the 2026 VAS Autumn Select Exhibition.
