Inspiration: The season, ‘Spring’. “Whispers of Spring” depicts the delicate and ephemeral qualities of Spring through the green, blue and purple hues, evoking a serene, lush forest. Gold ribbons connect textured blossoms adding an ethereal quality. Gold foil butterflies symbolise transformation and beauty, enhancing the theme of renewal. The multi-coloured, multi-shaded and textured backgrounds, with gradients of greens, blues, purples and water droplets create depth and mystery. The painting balances fragility and resilience, with the blossoms and pollen symbolising growth and renewal, and the butterflies representing metamorphosis. The winding vines reflect life’s journey, while the gold shimmer suggests light, hope, and the preciousness of existence, a journey of connection, growth, and transformation.
