Gunlock State Park waterfall flowed for the first time in a decade during my visit. Based on a photo brought back to my studio in Melbourne, I used oil paint on paper which has been mounted onto stretched canvas and finished with polished pink tourmaline and crinoid fossil pebbles. Inspired by the idea of a still from an old fashioned 35mm movie reel. The stretched canvas edges have been finished with my signature style; textured border treatment, covering both the front edge and sides of the canvas. This work is also fitted with D rings and picture wire. This painting would make a great pairing with a small painting from my Utah series, Desert Petroglyph Southern Utah seen in the last description photo, which may be purchased separately from my main profile page.
