VAS Pushing the Boundaries Exhibition

The creativity of our artists will be on full display for this exhibition. Come along to find some unexpected treasures and celebrate unusual and non-traditional Australian art.
The Victorian Artists Society galleries have a long history supporting painting in Australia. In fact, the architectural plans displayed in our foyer show that the Hammond Gallery was intended for oil paintings, while the Frater was meant for works of watercolour.
For this exhibition we will not be accepting works of oil or watercolour. Instead, we will be showcasing non-traditional mediums and materials that can often be overlooked in major exhibitions, or even materials that are not commonly used in art. This includes Inks, Mosaic, Printmaking, Digital, Collage, Mixed media, Photography, Sculpture and much more.
