This 5-week oil painting course, led by professional artist Keming Shen, is suitable for both beginners and more advanced students. It focuses on portrait and still life painting, helping students gain the observational skills required when painting from life.

Students will have 2 sessions using the same live model to create a portrait painting, and focusing on still life paintings for the other sessions. 

Students will learn how to compose a painting, how to deal with light and shade, and ways to observe and express changes in tone and colour. There will be specific guidance for each student throughout the course.
