Using poetry as a prompt, participants will be encouraged to create their own mixed media work in response to a particular character, scene or image using paint and collage elements, including their own discarded artwork. 

Erica will demonstrate how she created the images in The Colt from Old Regret and will encourage participants to experiment with their own visual language in response to a poem. The workshop will include sketching initial ideas, creating backgrounds, playing with shapes and colours to build up elements to form one or more images with Erica offering tips and guidance along the way.
