Peek is a quiet confrontation with the unseen cost of creativity. While the canvas is new, every brushstroke is made with second-hand paint, remnants from discarded tubes and studio cleanouts. This work asks: how much usable material do we overlook, discard, or wash away without thought? Each year, artists and industries generate thousands of tonnes of paint waste, much of it still viable, yet destined for landfill or toxic runoff. Peek draws attention to this excess by creating beauty from what was nearly thrown out. It offers a glimpse — a peek — into how small shifts in material choices can become acts of resistance, sustainability, and care.
