Inspired by the vibrant hillside city of Valparaíso in Chile, this work explores the charm of its narrow, colourful houses and steep stairways that weave through the urban landscape. The tall building stands almost improbably between sloping streets, reflecting the layered architecture that defines the city. Created in oil pastel, the textured colour and simplified forms capture the playful spirit and visual rhythm of Valparaíso, where everyday buildings become lively compositions of colour, geometry, and light. The scene celebrates the character of the city while hinting at the quiet life unfolding within its hillside homes.
