Stephanie “Stefaz” O’Hanlon-Pradenas is a Melbourne-based Deaf artist and illustrator whose work explores storytelling, heritage, and a sense of place.
Working across painting, drawing, and illustration, her practice is rooted in visual observation and the quiet details of everyday environments. She is particularly drawn to architecture, landscapes, and still-life subjects, capturing moments that evoke memory, atmosphere, and a sense of connection to place.
Her cultural heritage- spanning Latin American and European ancestry- informs her artistic perspective and curiosity about landscapes, travel, and cultural narratives. Through expressive colour, texture, and composition, Stephanie creates artworks that reflect both personal and collective experiences of place and identity.
As a Deaf artist, she engages deeply with visual language, allowing observation, gesture, and spatial awareness to shape her creative process.
Stephanie lives and works in Melbourne and is developing her oil painting practice through ongoing studio work and study as a member of the Victorian Artists Society (VAS).
