Mama Alto is a jazz singer, cabaret artiste and gender transcendent diva. She performs locally and internationally. She is wonderfully flamboyant, dresses dramatically and is amazingly talented. I have been keen to paint her for some time and lucky for me, I was able to fit in a sitting between her many appearances.
