Painting of Mena (from life), completed during a five-week course with Lucy Fekete, using acrylics and the glazing (grisaille) technique.While working on this piece, I envisioned Mena as having Native American heritage. I reflected this through her earrings, inspired by stones valued in many healing ceremonies for their ability to promote calm and positive energy. This sense of calm and positivity was also present throughout the creative process, influenced by both Mena and Lucy.
