A visit to Broome and the Kimberley Aboriginal Fashion Textiles Art Runway last year had a profound affect on me. This painting is of one of the Aboriginal models, wearing Aboriginal-designed fabric, clothing and jewellery with visible pride and dignity. The initiative is having a very positive affect on the Indigenous community, and there is work underway to extend it to other remote communities.
