Sisters Ange and Trish worked as Emergency nurses at RMH during the Covid-19 pandemic. They are depicted as having just removed cumbersome PPE; multiple mask lines are etched into their sweaty faces. Ange says "Covid has stripped me down". PPE renders grooming of hair, fingernails and makeup pointless. Lunch breaks are functional rather than social; hours lost in infection prevention. Often short staffed, ED staff rely on teamwork of colleagues to meet extraordinary daily clinical demands. The sisters say with warmth that the resilience, support, and co-operation of their team is what pulls them all through.
