This monotype draws its inspiration from the continuously shifting dynamics and unique atmosphere found on a natural body of water. Capturing the interplay of light, movement and weather, the piece seeks to evoke the feeling of standing at the edge of a lake, watching as the water surface is transformed by wind, sunlight, and passing clouds. Birds swoop and dive and chit chat, seemingly undisturbed. A clear reminder that, despite human fascination and passing visits, it is the animals and plants which truly inhabit, shape and ultimately claim ownership of the ever-changing world of the Australian waters.
